We are absolutely delighted to welcome you back to our gallery with an exhibition of works by Jane MacLean and Kimbal Bumstead. We were all geared up to show you these stunning works back in December - as you know, Covid then threw another spanner in the works and we had to close again. If you've been walking past our gallery, you have probably already caught a glimpse of these works - now's your chance to have a proper look at them.

Opening hours
11.30-5.30pm (Tuesday-Friday) and 12-5pm (Saturday)
Sunday and Monday by appointment.

We look forward to your visit! Our gallery is Covid secure.
Please note face coverings are compulsory and please use hand sanitiser provided on entry. Only members of one household allowed at any one time.

Last minute Valentine's Day gift ideas from Aeon Gallery Hampstead

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Do you remember last year’s, when things were still pretty normal? There may not be that much to do at the moment, but that doesn’t mean you can’t shower your loved one with gifts. If you’re still stuck for ideas, we have put together some suggestions for you, for all budgets and supporting local businesses.

You may not be able to go out for a romantic meal at the moment, but you can certainly promise to in the hopefully not too distant future! Buy a Valentine’s dinner at The Flask and they’ll also treat you to two glasses of wine.

Museums are suffering from the lockdown as much as anyone, so if you’d like to support Hampstead’s Burgh House, you could gift an annual membership.

You might feel inspired by some of the art we currently have on display in our gallery. Jane MacLean’s 'Before the Wedding' would make a very romantic Valentine’s gift – and potentially give a very subtle hint…

If you’re not quite aiming for a marriage proposal yet (or not anymore), why not go for one of Kimbal Bumstead’s wonderfully bright and vibrant abstract paintings, such as ‘Tumbling Out From The Back Door Into Now’?⠀⠀⠀

‘Tumbling Out From The Back Door Into Now’ by Kimbal Bumstead. Oil and varnish on board. 100cm x 100cm. £2,500⠀⠀⠀

Rather than give art, you could give art classes. Classes at Hampstead School of Art are restarting on 8 March and would make a great gift for aspiring artists.

If you’re buying for someone who is already producing a lot of art and forever running out of supplies, the London Art Shop in Finchley Road is open for phone orders with same day collection on Friday (10am-1pm).

Another of our regular artist currently on display is Matt Phillips. His 'Blue Porch' would make a fantastic gift.

Nature lovers could lend a helping (Heath) hand and adopt a wildlife home for a hedgehog, stag beetle and other animals. Heath Hands are not currently running their usual activities but still need support to continue their work across Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood and the Kenwood Estate.

And last, but certainly not least, you could treat yourselves to a romantic breakfast from Boulangerie Bon Matin.

If you're interested in any of the works you’ve seen here, through our windows or on social media, please get in touch via email, our social media channels or give us a call! We look forward to seeing you at Aeon Gallery soon!
